This Privacy Policy describes how QuickCut ("we," "our," or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Photos and Images

QuickCut accesses your photo library only when you explicitly choose to import images for editing. We do not:

• Automatically access your photos
• Upload your photos to external servers
• Store your photos on our servers
• Share your photos with third parties

All image processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework and Core Image. Your photos never leave your device.

1.2 User Preferences

We store the following preferences locally on your device:

• Default export format (PNG, JPEG, HEIC)
• Export quality settings
• Edge feather preferences
• Batch processing limits
• Auto-save to Photos setting
• Default background selection
• Onboarding completion status

This information is stored only on your device using iOS UserDefaults and is never transmitted to us or any third parties.

1.3 Purchase Information

When you make in-app purchases (e.g., Remove Ads), Apple processes the transaction. We receive only:

• Confirmation that a purchase was made
• Product identifier
• Transaction verification status

We do not receive your payment information, billing address, or other personal financial data. All payment processing is handled by Apple through StoreKit.

1.4 Advertising Data

QuickCut uses Google Mobile Ads SDK to display advertisements. The following information may be collected by Google:

• Device advertising identifier (IDFA) - only if you grant permission via App Tracking Transparency
• Device type and operating system
• App usage data
• Ad interaction data

You can control ad tracking through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. If you disable tracking, you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant.

Note: If you purchase "Remove Ads," no advertising data is collected as ads are completely disabled.

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 Image Processing

All image processing is performed locally on your device using:

• Apple Vision framework for subject detection
• Core Image for image manipulation
• VisionKit for interactive subject lifting (iOS 17+)

No image data is sent to external servers or cloud services.

2.2 App Functionality

We use your preferences to:

• Remember your export settings
• Maintain your editing preferences
• Provide a personalized experience

2.3 Advertising

If you have not purchased "Remove Ads," Google Mobile Ads may use collected data to:

• Display relevant advertisements
• Measure ad performance
• Prevent fraud

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

All user preferences and app data are stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults. This data:

• Remains on your device
• Is not backed up to iCloud unless you enable iCloud backup for the app
• Can be deleted by uninstalling the app

3.2 Image Storage

Processed images are saved to your device's Photos library only when you explicitly choose to save them. We do not store copies of your images.

3.3 Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

• All processing happens on-device
• No network transmission of image data
• Secure payment processing through Apple StoreKit
• iOS sandboxing for app data protection

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Google Mobile Ads

4.2 Apple Services

We use the following Apple services:

• StoreKit: For in-app purchases (privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/privacy/)
• Vision Framework: For on-device AI processing

All Apple services process data according to Apple's privacy policies.

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Photo Library Access

You can control photo library access through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos. You can:

• Grant full access
• Grant limited access (select specific photos)
• Revoke access entirely

5.2 Ad Tracking

You can control ad tracking through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. You can:

• Allow tracking for personalized ads
• Disable tracking (ads will still show but may be less relevant)

5.3 Remove Ads

You can remove all advertisements by purchasing the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase. Once purchased:

• All ads are permanently disabled
• No advertising data is collected
• Purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on other devices

5.4 Data Deletion

To delete all app data:

• Uninstall the app from your device
• All locally stored preferences will be deleted
• Processed images saved to Photos library will remain (they are your photos)

6. Children's Privacy

QuickCut is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

7. International Users

QuickCut is designed to comply with:

• General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Union
• California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for users in California
• Apple's App Store privacy requirements

Since all processing happens on-device, no data crosses international borders.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App Store listing
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Including a summary of changes in app updates when significant

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
